Edg Launches Soil Gas Analyzer for Class VI Carbon Capture Injection Wells

HOTCHKISS, COLORADO – December 1, 2024

Engineering Design Group (Edg) launches their most advanced soil gas analyzer to date. The Edg V2 analyzer replaces error-prone manual gas sampling for Class VI carbon capture injection wells with an automated and deterministic process, simplifying data collection for monitoring, reporting, and verification (MRV).

Concentrations of multiples gases from the soil are measured on a user-defined schedule. Environmental conditions and atmospheric data are also captured. Data is transmitted to the cloud using LTE-M cellular technology, and made accessible through our Portal application (https://iot.edglab.com/) and the Edg API.

Instrumentation is solar powered and housed an IP-66 enclosure, making it optimal for remote operation under extreme environmental conditions.
