Cellular IoT Gateways
EDG’s cellular IoT gateways are the new standard to connect your assets to the Internet. Advantages over Wi-Fi include reduced cabling, simplified setup, and remote operation in areas where Wi-Fi is not available.
To begin using your cellular IoT gateway, simply apply power. Upon power-up the unit will establish a connection to the strongest Tier 1 network available using an onboard SIM. After a connection is established the unit will begin to transmit data to the EDG Client Portal, making data immediately available.
Power to the gateway can be sourced locally via +12 to +24VDC. Alternatively, EDG offers a smart battery charger solution complete with a Lithium Ion smart battery pack and solar panel, to create a completely wireless and contained solution.
